  this is in the family/children section on jw.org - mary - joshua - daniel - ruth - and more!.

  i'm lmao that these are so similar to hockey cards or baseball cards that my siblings and i used to get in trouble for collecting when we were kids.

  Canada Zone Visit - April 2013

  just got word of a zone visit for canada in april 2013, think it was april 8 to 14. sounds like its just 2 members of the u.s. branch comittee, no gb.

  however, they plan on showing a talk on april 13/14 to all congregations in canada, not just a select few as has always been the case.. it'll be the same old stuff, but maybe this is why they the watchtower is purchasing all those projectors, like that "confidential" document mentions?

  to broadcast things like this in all congregations?.

  Zone visits were always a part of the Georgetown Country Club (aka Canada Branch). It is is just that they were not widely known and the zone overseeer often just met with the branch committee and the bethel elders - plus a talk to the bethelites. Since about 2006 they have started to be more public so that can make a bigger deal about them than necessasy.

  1919 conveniently lets them of the hook for many things - Russell and not having to prove any F&DS prior and best of all it sets it up nicely for Cardinal Sanderson to ascend to the F&DS pedestal. This moves them towards a refinement of "generation" yet again in the coming years to distract away from 1914 and permit a whole bunch of GenX gb members with the promise of the end being soon.... What is deeply offensive to me is the lack of humility in capitalize themselves as a Governing Body gramatically but not a surprize finanically.

  It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

  i just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.

  although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .

  the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.

  Solomon: I am with you on that one. Just wait for the urban legends to emerge from NJ/NY congos to show up in 2013 DC's. Meanwhile Satan's organizations are opening up churches and public buildings for people who have incurred significant property damage regardless of their religious affiliation, encouraging people to reach out in tangible ways, open up locations for food, clothing and financial assistance,making routine calls and not just wishing people keep warm and weel fed. It seems that at times like these Satan's system shows up the dubs for what they are (in a large part) shallow, uncaring and selfish. It is at times like this that the WTB&T$ make me sick as the gloat with some image of this all being a precursor to the big one. Having that poor view of humanity simply leads one to become calloused and uncaring.

  What about using a portion of the $162 million in assets towards helping their negihbours? As I recall there were only two laws given by Jesus - (1) Love God and (2) Love your Neighbour.

  Here in Canada I am amazed and heart warmed by the simple acts lof love of neighbour demonstrated by people supposedly doomed at the end of this so called system. Examples like the blind woman on Staten Island making meals and distributing them, while her seeing eye dog guides her past very trecherous conditions. Yeah, I am sure God is looking down saying: "thats all well and good but you did not take the latest braille copy of the Awake you were offered last week, so I don't care what you did".
